Introduction and Ethos

Newlands is a non-selective, co-educational, independent day and boarding school from birth to 16 years set in an area of outstanding natural beauty at the foot of the South Downs.

Newlands accepts children for admission from Nursery to Yr10. As we are a non-selective school, pupils with a wide range of abilities are accepted and there is no need to sit an examination to be awarded a place at Newlands.

We operate an equal-opportunities admissions policy and are happy to offer places to boys and girls without discrimination of race, religion and belief, culture, sexual orientation, SEN and disability.

We welcome children with special educational requirements providing that the learning support we can offer them is adequate for their needs.

We also welcome children with disabilities; however the layout of the school is such that many classrooms are not accessible for wheelchair users.

If your child requires learning support or wheelchair access, please contact the school Registrar to discuss in detail whether we are able to accommodate your needs.

Deciding on the right school for your child one of the most important decisions you will make, this document is designed to provide you with all the information you will need in order to enrol your child at Newlands School.

We look forward to meeting you.
