The six areas of learning of the EYFS extend into the Pre-prep curriculum. The Pre Prep follow the Creative Learning Journey which is a skill based curriculum. The CLJ topics are linked with whole school topics providing a valuable transition link through to the Junior Prep Department. There are opportunities for hands on experiences, self- discovery and individual extension. There is a structured timetable of phonics, reading and number work. The Junior Prep Department follow the Creative Learning Journey which is an innovative and purposeful curriculum for primary aged children. We focus on a combination of personal skills and knowledge, combined with an exciting way to learn that reflects the children's independent learning development. The CLJ is cross curricular and links directly to the National Curriculum which ensures cohesion of progression throughout the department. The CLJ is strengthened through a comprehensive enrichment programme of activities including school based investigations and off campus visits. These trips encourage collaborative work; allowing children to help each other to learn and to work together to refine and develop their ideas. In years 4-6 children are given the opportunity to participate in a Outwards Bound style activity camp which promotes independence and teamwork
We encourage active links with parents, involving them and forming a strong partnership, resulting in the provision of a 21st century curriculum for 21st century learners.

In years 5 and 6 children follow a scheme of work appropriate for their own year group. These years have a specialist English teacher too.
All children are encouraged to learn a musical instrument and participate in Dance classes such as Modern, Tap or Ballet.
The School Day:
The School day begins at 08.30 with registration at 08.40
The School Day finishes at 16.50 with mini bus transport leaving at 17.00
The Pre Prep children may be collected from school at 15.50
