Newlands Performing Arts
The Performing Arts Course at Newlands School offers pupils an excellent all-round education combined with specialist tuition in Performing Arts.
The aim of the Course is to provide specialist training in dance, drama, music and art without sacrificing academic standards. Each student has the opportunity to develop their individual artistic potential at Newlands, and this should enable them, if they so wish, to continue into full time vocational training at either 16 or 18 years leading to a diploma or a degree. Career opportunities are varied with graduating students joining professional companies, the teaching profession or arts administration.
Pupils may join the Performing Arts Course from the age of 7 in the Pre-Preparatory School and continue through to Newlands Manor. Entry is by individual audition and interview where the suitability of physique and artistic potential is carefully considered.
