Newlands School GCSE Results for 2008
Newlands School GCSE results, again reflect the success of small group teaching, individual attention and for some pupils, specialist learning support.
There has been a dramatic increase in top marks with more than double the number of students achieving A or A* grades.
A number of departments gained 100% pass rate in grades A to C. These include Art, Music, Photography and Dance where every student achieved an A*. In Photography 75% received an A or A* grade.
Commenting on the results, Headmaster, Chris Bridgman, said “ Newlands is a non-selective school and pupils enter with a wide range of academic ability. I am extremely pleased with the results.”
