Comic Relief Day
On Comic Relief day, Friday 13th March, Newlands became a land fit for Superheroes. From the Nursery right through to the Sixth Form, children, students and staff sported a variety of outfits raising plenty of smiles and plenty of cash for the charity.
Power Rangers, Batman, Superman, you could never be quite sure who would be around the next corner!
Included in the day was a nursery parade, karaoke disco and a cake sale organised by Year 7 girls. There was also a very brave leg waxing taken on by the Deputy Head in the Manor, Adrian Cooper and PE Teacher, Matthew Dunn. Both will never underestimate the pain of beauty treatments again!
A staggering £672.95 was raised during the day!
