Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Full of catchy tunes, and based on a story which takes the main character on a life-changing journey, ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ is a great show for any school to present, as the cast at Newlands School recently found out.
Joseph was produced in only six weeks with a cast of over 60 children drawn from throughout the school. The part of Joseph was played by Head Boy Sebastian Kelly, who’s mother was responsible for the amazing ‘technicolor dreamcoat’.
Due to the success of Joseph, Newlands would like to invite the local community to the next Newlands production on 5th July 2008. SHOWCASE 2008 will be an extravaganza of song and dance including a Disco medley, a big number from ‘Cats’ and a ballet piece. This will be the first show involving, Alex Diepold, internationally acclaimed voice coach and new Head of Popular Music at Newlands.
A child star since five, Diepold has brought a wealth of professional expertise to the school which will certainly impact on future productions so book your seats early.
