Children in Years 1 & 2 had an insight into the world of printing during a visit to Tansleys in Seaford.

Accompanied by their teacher Mrs Todd and parent, Mr Langridge, the children were shown a variety of printing machines and processes used to produce a wide range of published literature.

Back at the school, Mr Langridge also provided his own presentation about the process of printing, using the children to represent different parts of the procedure!  

Commenting on the success of the visit and the presentation, Mrs Todd said “The children have developed a real love of books and reading. Over the last few weeks we have been visiting the School’s Prep Library to compare the work of different authors. The visit to the printers and Mr Langridge’s presentation has given the children a real understanding of how their story books are produced.
