Taster Days
Taster Days are an excellent way of introducing prospective pupils to the school. Children are ‘partnered up’ with a pupil in their relevant year group and spend a ‘typical day’ at the school. This allows a prospective pupil time to get a feel for the school and staff the opportunity to assess the pupil’s academic and social needs. During their Taster Day it is likely some time will be spent in the Gannon Centre so that any need for learning support can be quickly identified.
We recommend prospective pupils stay for two consecutive Taster Days. Potential boarding students are invited to stay overnight in the boarding house. For more information on Tasters at Newlands contact Registrar, Lorna Tuttle.
