At Newlands we are passionate about developing your child's passion, whether it be it in sports, dance, drama, the arts, sciences, languages or indeed maths.  But perhaps even more importantly, we believe in offering opportunities for our students to hone, refine and develop their skills for life.

Skills such as compassion, teamwork, and respect; initiative, flexibility, resilience.   This means that education for us is about placing learning in a real context, so that students are well prepared for the demands of adult life and equipped with the skills necessary to make a success of their own lives. 

Our curriculum content is rich and exciting because it is relevant to our students’ current and future lives; we involve students as key players in their learning.

All children must be prepared to work hard when they come here! They are encouraged to think, have opinions, explore and challenge.  All students have a real voice at Newlands, through choices they are given and decisions they make about their learning and attitudes.
