Pre Prep (4-7 years)

Newlands Pre Prep offers a dynamic, progressive curriculum where children enter at the age of four and slot in smoothly, coming across from our Nursery where they are already familiar with the Newlands environment. Introductory activities are offered to ease the integration process, which encourages interaction with siblings. 

In a caring and secure atmosphere, each child is encouraged to explore new opportunities. Children are treated as individuals, enabling them to develop confidence as they acquire new skills. Our focus is on fostering natural curiosity of each child providing opportunities for independent discovery.

From an early age children are also encouraged to co-operate with each other, to offer mutual support and to celebrate each other’s achievements.

Our ethos is simple. We believe a happy child is a successful child and, therefore, this value is at the heart of everything we do. Our goal is to make the transition from the Pre-Prep to the Prep as easy as possible by making the children increasingly independent. The Parents are an integral link in this process and have many opportunities to be involved. The style of teaching is traditional yet fun, as we aim for excellence and employ a multi-sensory approach in the classroom. We provide many motivational incentives to bring out the best in our pupils. Positive reinforcement is a vital part of all we do as we celebrate their talents and efforts. Our staff are dedicated, hardworking and approachable, guiding the students to reach for the stars.
